While We Were Young is an adorable spot in West Village that's design was inspired by my favorite place on earth...Harbour Island. It's pink booths and light blue bar and chairs bring you right back to the pink sand and crystal clear water.

My absolute favorite thing about While We Were Young is their cocktail: One Night Stand – Tequila | Watermelon | Chili Agave | Lime. It is the most delicious cocktail and keeps me coming back every time!

The restaurant itself is quite small so highly recommend making a reservation in advance on Resy or OpenTable. They serve a Prix-Fixe Brunch & Dinner (App + Entree $39 for brunch, $45 for dinner) - dinner being my favorite of the two. Its more of a brunch spot if you are craving lunch food vs. breakfast.

Food Favorites from the menu: Spicy Chicken Dumplings, Kale Salad, Braised Short Rib (for brunch I recommend doing two starters).

Food, ambiance, and service are all good.
